She studied Technical Arts and Special Effects with a minor in Stop Motion Animation at The University of the Arts in London.
Violet had previously worked in prop making studios for commercial projects and events before meeting Devin Townsend at Bloodstock Festival 2010. Being a fan of Devin's work since her teenage years Violet took the opportunity to show him her work and (jokingly) offered her services. A year later Devin proposed they work together on a project. The now famous 5 foot wide cheeseburger that was suspended above the stage during the Deconstruction set of the sold-out By a Thread shows in 2011. Whilst working on this for Devin is when Violet first met Devin Tour Manager, Paul Collis.

Violet was tasked next with The Retinal Circus. Leading a small, very, dedicated team, Infrared FX created the Ziltoidian baby, the Ziltoid costume, countless choir costumes and the infamous ‘big green vagina’. These two events cemented Violet/Infrared's presence in Devin’s ever growing ensemble; following up with contributions of puppets and costumes towards the Ziltoid universe, including the Poozers used at the Royal Albert Hall in 2015.

When Violet isn’t working with Devin she regularly collaborates with other artists and designers and has recently teamed up with fellow alumni and close friend Laura Neocleous to create their art webstore ‘Ominous Wishes’ which will be launching early 2021.

Reserving Herman

If you can not purchase a Herman now but would like to reserve a Herman figurine please email uksales@toursupply.com with your name and phone number and we will contact you with information regarding the reservation / deposit process.

Note: Herman will be sold and numbered on a first come first serve basis

Shipping information

Herman will ship from Jan 14th 2021.

Orders received by 3pm will ship out same day.

Orders with next day shipping selected will all be sent via Fedex and should arrive the following day, however there may be a customs delay for USA/CAN shipping and that is out of our control.

Any import duties and taxes payable will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Shipping costs for other countries can be supplied upon request.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0970/4511/9356/files/8a5fd439-18f674_03808c07fe854a1aa51464c0ac11f4c0_mv2.png?v=1791988579
